MIGUELANGELO VEIGA

    Graduated in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. His research focuses on the field of visual arts, particularly Drawing and Painting.

    Exhibiting since 2000, notable participations includes involvement in the Independent Theater Group "OLHO" from Portugal between 1993 and 1998, and exhibitions such as "The Sitio das Artes" in 2007 at the Centro de Arte Moderna, promoted by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation as part of its 50th Anniversary celebrations, and "Loop: Contemporary Video Art from the EU" in 2010, representing Portugal at the National Portrait Gallery, Washington, USA.

    Further highlights include the 2018 exhibition "Variations Portugaises" at the Center for Contemporary Art Abbaye Saint Andre - CAC Meymac in Meymac, France, and the 2019 exhibition "Constellations: A Choreography of Minimal Gestures" at the Berardo Collection Museum, Lisbon, Portugal.

    Represented in national and international collections such as PLMJ (Portugal), Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (Portugal), CAPC (Portugal), Al Maqam (Mohamed Mourabiti, Morocco), Assilah Forum Foundation (Morocco), and Al Asmakh Collection (Qatar).

    Lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal.
